The telecom ministry Of Indian has been allocated Rs400 crore for setting up a Telecom Central Monitoring System (CMS) to be used for lawful interception in telecommunication in india. The Telecom Central Monitoring System project will be completed by August 2014. "An amount of Rs400 crore has been allocated by the indian government for the Telecom Central Monitoring System. The Telecom Central Monitoring System project has three phases with a time line of 13-14 months each. The Telecom Central Monitoring System project is likely to be completed by August 2014," minister of state for communications and information technology Mr.MilindDeora informed the LokSabha in a written reply. Mr.MilindDeora said the monitoring system is being designed and developed indigenously.
