IBM India intros entry-level private cloud offering
IBM India launch of an entry level private cloud offering, Smart Cloud Entry. “Cloud computing is much more than simply saving on Information technology implementation costs because it offers an enormous opportunity to innovate. According to the company the Smart Cloud Entry enables 0rganizations to deploy self-service provisioning of visualized w0rkloads, allowing them to start the transition to a cloud-based infrastructure. It uses a 'simple' interface, and is designed to help both entry level firms and sophisticated clients adopt private clouds from scratch or transform current virtualized systems into cloud infrastructures. "This enables rapid scalability by all0wing additional servers or blades to be added to the cloud infrastructure. includes basic workload metering to supp0rt a "pay per use" business m0del," he added. The IBM Smart Cloud Entry is part of its SmartCloud Foundation portfolio.
